What are the domain name risks?
Bondora Group has invested heavily in the promotion of its brand, including its company website addresses. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the entity responsible for administering internet protocol addresses, has introduced and proposed the introduction of new domain name suffixes in different formats, many of which may be more attractive than those used by Bondora Group and that may allow new competitors to enter Bondora Group's markets at limited cost. ICANN's initiative may also permit others to register websites with addresses similar to Bondora Group's, leading to customer confusion and a dilution of its brand, which could have a material adverse effect on its business, prospects, operational results and financial condition.
A domain registration strategy designed to counteract such threats, or other efforts to protect Bondora Group's trademark or brand, could become a large and recurring expense that may not be successful, which may have a material adverse effect on its business, financial condition, operational results or prospects, or cash flow.
Bondora Group owns the domain names "bondora.fi", "bondora.ee", "bondora.es" and all other domain names relevant to its business. In addition, Bondora has filed trademark applications in the EU and with the World Intellectual Property Organization, and has taken steps to ensure its intellectual property is adequately protected.
