Verifying your identity is vital in the authentication process, as the information you provide helps us protect your money and your account. So, getting the ID verification right is essential.
This is why we have partnered with Onfido, our trusted verification partner, where you will be asked to take a selfie and a picture of your document. Your photos and personal details are processed solely for the purpose of identity verification. Onfido is certified, audited, and follows strict EU data protection regulations. All data is encrypted and handled in accordance with GDPR. Storage is within the EEA or with approved safeguards in place. Your information is used only to verify your identity.
Here are all the requirements and tips you need to get your ID verification done quickly.
- Log in to your account.
- On your Dashboard, click on the Settings tab on the left menu panel, then select Personal details on the next page.
- Click on ID verification and follow the instructions to complete the process.
- Have your means of identification ready.
- Find a location with good lighting and make sure your device's camera is functioning correctly.
- Start the process with Onfido, our trusted partner, where you will be asked to take a selfie and pictures of your document.
Your identity document can be any one of these 4 documents:
- Your European Economic Area Passport
- Your European Economic Area Identity Card [both sides]
- Your European Economic Area Driving license [both sides]
- Paper driving licenses are not acceptable
- Only plastic card driving licenses are acceptable
- Your European Area Residence Permits [both sides]
- Your residence permit must be from the same country you reside in
NB! When Onfido requests camera access, be sure to “allow camera access.” Failure to do so may result in a black screen.
If you happen to have any other problems, we recommend you try a different browser and/or clear your cache.
Once you have chosen which document you’ll use, you can follow the prompts on your screen to take a photo of it and complete the process.
Please ensure that:
- The document is valid and has not expired
- The document has a minimum of 30 days' validity
- It is a good quality, color image
- The image isn’t blurry
- No edges are cut off or covered
- All the information is clear and easy to read
- No watermarks or other changes are allowed
- The ID is not cracked, broken, or damaged in any way
If you are taking a photo of your ID, please ensure it’s of good quality and in good color. Take the photo in natural light without using the flash.
As a reminder, you must also complete the Personal Details form and verify your personal bank account by making a bank transfer before you can invest or make withdrawals.
